On 27 May, the Image Processing Laboratory of the University of Valencia participated in the EGU General Assembly 2022. The annual EGU General Assembly is Europe’s largest geosciences event covering all disciplines in the Earth, planetary and space sciences.

The EGU General Assembly 2022 was organized in a hybrid format, virtually and physically in Vienna, Austria, with 12,332 presentations in 791 sessions. The event gathered 7,315 participants on site in Vienna and 7,002 virtual attendees.

Michele Ronco of ISP-University of Valencia, gave an oral presentation on “Explainable deep learning for wildfire danger estimation”.

José María Tárraga presented “Inspecting the link between climate and human displacement with Explainable AI and Causal inference”.
